Memorial Day

The sun is making an appearance today just in time for Memorial Day!

It’s a good day to remember veteran and acclaimed PNW environmental artist, Alfredo Arreguín, who pioneered a thoroughly unique style over his 60-year career. After immigrating from Mexico, he was drafted by the Army and served 13 months in Korea. (Learn more about Alfredo’s life and see more of his work in this 2023 Seattle Times obituary.) His painting “Shilshole” is reminiscent of our own Hidden Beach.
